Individual Artists Grants
The Individual Artists Grant, part of the Decentralization Program (DEC) of The New York State Council on the Arts, is administered by Livingston Arts to encourage and promote individual artist’s projects to enhance cultural vibrancy in Livingston County.
One $2,500 grant is available to artists interested in creating new work within a community context. These competitive grants are based on the artistic merit of work samples, a strong interface between the community and the creative process, and a clearly defined, innovative project.
Applicants must be at least 18 years of age, have resided in Livingston County for at least six months before the application deadline, and not be enrolled in an undergraduate degree program.

July 30 – West Sparta Town Hall, 6pm
August 9 – Dansville Public Library, 10:30am
August 13 – Livingston Arts Center, 6pm
August 23 – Wadsworth Library, 10:30am
August 27th – American Hotel, Lima NY, 6pm
September 20th – Livingston Arts Center, 11am (This seminar will be for editing of grant proposals.)
Deadline: Applications must be at the Livingston Arts Office, 4 Murray Hill, Mount Morris, NY by 4:00pm on the first Thursday in October for projects taking place in the following calendar year.
