Individual Artists Grants
The Individual Artists Grant, part of the Decentralization Program (DEC) of The New York State Council on the Arts, is administered by Livingston Arts to encourage and promote individual artist’s projects to enhance cultural vibrancy in Livingston and Monroe Counties.
$2,500 grants are available to artists interested in creating new work within a community context in each county. These competitive grants are based on the artistic merit of work samples, a strong interface between the community and the creative process, and a clearly defined, innovative project.
Applicants must be at least 18 years of age, have resided in Livingston or Monroe County for at least six months before the application deadline, and not be enrolled in an undergraduate degree program.
Applicants must consult directly with the Program Coordinator before applying. Assistance in developing a program and writing your grant is available by contacting the Program Coordinator, by phone 585.243.6785 or by email email@example.com.
