Artists in Education Grants

The Artists in Education Grant program, part of the Decentralization Program (DEC) of The New York State Council on the Arts, is administered by Livingston Arts. Artists in Education Grants support individual artists or local cultural organizations to engage K-12 public school students in rich artistic learning experiences focusing on the exploration of art and the artistic process.

Up to $1,500 is available, per project, for artists or cultural organizations working in partnership with public schools located in Livingston County. This grant can fund up to 50% of the project’s total expenses and should include costs for appropriate project evaluation and documentation.

Applicants must consult directly with the Program Coordinator before applying. Assistance in developing a program, finding an artist or school is available by contacting the Program Coordinator, by phone 585.243.6785 or by email
