Arts & Cultural Inventory/Database Creation
• Working from past Arts & Cultural Directory; confirm by mail, email, or telephone that organizations still exist and that contact, web information is up to date
• Perform inventory of current arts & cultural organizations, services, groups, etc. in Livingston County and surrounding region
• Compile data in Microsoft Access and Excel
• Post lists and links in our WordPress website
Qualifications: Must be motivated, organized, and able to successfully perform outreach activities – phone calls and community tours. This is a grant-funded, paid internship. Ideal for Business majors, with a minor in an arts or historical track.
Internship is 20 hours/week for a 3-month period.
This is a paid internship (2 available), funded through the Regional Economical Development Council.
We are working on building our informational services for the good of the general public as well as artists and arts organizations. Hours are flexible, but must be fulfilled during following hours: Tuesday-Friday 10-5 (Thursday til 7:30 p.m.) or Saturday 11-3.

Marketing & Data Management Assistant – Internship
5-8 hours per week starting late May or June 1
*Job Description: Help us to keep our calendar listings up to date, create appealing marketing materials and make use of free services like Facebook and online calendars to spread the word about our programs and services. Ideal opportunity for a business major or minor, art minor, or English major looking to go into marketing.
-have excellent grammar skills, with good attention to detail.
-be skilled with using computer programs such as MS Word and web-based content management systems
-experience with Adobe Creative Suite is a plus!
-be dependable and professional

Grants Assistant – Internship
Starting in June, help to coordinate grant applications, training seminars, and paperwork.
Majors to apply: English, Administration, Public Relations, Art, Communications, Education. Applicant should have strong organizational and communication skills, with an interest in non-profit administration, the arts, and/or grant-writing. Minimum time requirement is four hours per week, semester-long, or for whole school year.

Arts Underground Studio Internship:
Starting in August, assist in setup of community clay studio & classroom, scheduling, and promotion. Applicant should have strong organizational and communication skills, ability to lift 50 pounds, and knowledge of clay, glazes, and electric firing with an interest in non-profit administration, the arts, and teaching.
Minimum time requirement five hours per week. Applications will be accepted throughout the year. Please include a resume, letter of reference, and five digital images of your work.
Arts Underground is the new clay studio located at the Livingston Arts Center. Children’s and adult classes are held there, as well as fiber and crafting classes which require a sink.
