Livingston Arts will proudly host author Idra Novey at Livingston Arts, 4 Murray Hill Drive, Mount Morris, on Monday, February 27, 2017 from 4:30-5:30 pm. The acclaimed author will present a discussion and readings from her latest work, “Ways to Disappear”.

Ms. Novey adds novelist to her titles of poet and translator with her debut novel. The work details the life of Emma Neufeld, a translator for a fictional Brazilian author, Beatriz Yagoda. Once Yagoda goes missing in Brazil, Neufeld begins the search for Yagoda in a foreign country armed only with a knowledge of the Yagoda’s literature, to the surprise of Neufeld’s boyfriend, Yagoda’s adult children and Neufeld herself. The novel combines elements of mystery, romance, noir and humor on the journey from Pittsburgh to Rio.
